Our recommended local fly fishing guide is Steve Sprague who has always steered our guests to the right spots for a successful day's fly fishing.
Steve will pick you up from Alpine Lake Motor Lodge, supply the necessary equipment, if needed, and after a memorable day return you to your accommodation.

Summer:

Half day fly fishing
Approximately 4 hours. Includes your expert guide, all your fishing equipment, refreshments, photos, pick up & drop off. Price for up to 2 persons : $250. A third person is an extra $50.
Full day fly fishing
Approximately 9 hours. Includes your expert guide, all your fishing equipment, lunch, snacks & beverages, pick up & drop off. Price for up to 2 persons: $500. A third person is an extra $100.
Fishing Licences
Required to fish the rivers and lakes in the Taupo area. Price (24hrs): $16 Adult, $4.50 Child. Your guide can arrange these for you.
Bookings are essential
We can make a reservation for you. Payment is made directly to Steve on the day of your fishing trip. Please advise date(s), half day or full day, and number of persons in the comments box when making your accommodation reservation.
